About our club

We have rides every month from March through to December for our Members and occasionally some rides are opened up to non members for a higher entry fee.  Our membership runs from the 1st March each year and members must renew there membership before closure at a charge of £22.  For new members when the membership is opened, normally mid February, there is a one off charge of £12 for your tabard number which you keep and must be worn at all of our rides.

Our Rides

The basic price of one of our rides is £22 for members, this includes  any parking or permit fees which have to be paid to a landowner(s), a bespoke ride rosette and lovely food with a hot or cold drink of your choice from our resident catering team.   An entry form for each ride is sent out via email to all members or downloaded on to our FB page, which includes a disclaimer to sign. This has to be sent with payment (cheque, postal order or cash) and posted to our ride secretary before the closing date for each ride to be able to participate in our rides.  Please note, no refunds are given after the closing date for cancelations due to the numbers been given for food, rosettes etc.  The ride disclaimer also has a tick box for valid third party insurance which is the riders responsibility to have. 

It is a legal requirement to always carry your Equines passport when travelling to any event. We require all horses to be up to date with their annual Equine Influenza Vaccinations

 




Our rides are usually between 7 and 15 miles and usually start between 9.30am and 11 am but check individual rides. You are expected to complete the ride in a reasonable time i.e. about 3 hours.  If a member helps to marshall on the day instead of riding, this will count towards the end of season awards.  AVR Ltd will also give our helpers a food voucher, bespoke rosette & £15 to show our appreciation of your time.  All volunteers to marshall must be able to fulfil the job of marshalling at what ever marshalling position given and be available for the duration of time needed by the ride organiser on the day.
